======How To Turnsheet====== Each week, you will write a turnsheet, detailing what you want your character to be doing between each session. Some things to note: * A turnsheet period represents **one week** of in game time. * You have **two** major actions, **one** utility action and any number of trade and minor actions. * The deadline for turnsheeting each week is **midnight on Wednesday evening** (that is, midnight between Wednesday and Thursday). Deadlines are strict - GMs start processing responses on Thursday. * A list of turnsheets for each week can be found on your user page. Follow the link on your page, and then click “Create this page” (the pencil icon on the right) in order to get started. =====Major Actions===== During your turnsheet, you may take two major actions. These are things that you want your character to try and do between sessions. You can achieve a lot in a single major action as long as it all hangs together in a single subject. If it seems like there are two distinct parts to an action which are only tangentially related, it should be written as two actions. When writing your turnsheet, you should address the following points: ====Aim==== A brief description of the aim of your action, i.e. what you hope to achieve. It should consist of one or two sentences at most. ====Plan==== This is where you detail how your character is going to try and achieve their aims, and is where the bulk of your attention to detail should go. This should consist of what your character is going to do, and how you expect things to play out. Please note that these will not always go according to plan, be it due to misinformation, actions by other characters or negative quirks acting up at the worst possible times. ====Relevant Talents, Quirks and Characters==== Lastly, you should list the information about what your character can make use of for this action. These include any relevant [[talents]] and [[quirks]] you intend to make use of. You should also include any other characters you expect to be taking part in the action, including NPCs, although what you expect them to be doing should be listed in the plan. =====Utility Action===== You get one action per turn dedicated either to gathering a resource, cooking, or crafting. If choosing to use your utility action to gather a resource, you will need to specify the **resource** you wish to gather, **where** you intend to look, **who** is coming with you, and any **talents**, **quirks** and **tools** you intend to use. If choosing to use your utility action to craft or cook, you will need to specify **what** you intend to make and for what **purpose**, the **quantities** of any resources you intend to use as components((or the quantity of the given item you intend to make - “I have a batch of wood - I'll use as much as it takes to make a decent spear”)), **who** will be helping or contributing resources, and which **talents**, **quirks**, and **tools** you intend to use. As with other actions, you may attempt to use talents you don't have access to, but you may not be as successful as you otherwise might be, and your action may go wrong in other (hopefully) entertaining ways. You will either receive a one line writeup detailing your success, or a longer writeup explaining what went wrong. If at low or moderate [[stress|stress]], you may choose to convert one of your two major actions into a second utility action. This will automatically increase your character's stress level. For example, if at low stress, you might choose to spend two actions gathering resources, with the knowledge that you will automatically move up to moderate stress. =====Trade Actions===== Trade actions are where you give or trade items and resources to other players. You may make any number of trades per turn, and may use any resources or items received in trades on the turn you receive them. However you may not make a trade using something you have received in a trade or utility action on the same turn. Please note that for an exchange to take place, BOTH players must turnsheet to make the same exchange. =====Minor Actions===== If you want your character to do something small that can be summed up in one sentence and doesn't require you to use your talents, you can do it here. You may take any number of minor actions, but do bear in mind that the GM team may stop reading them if you put in too many. Please do not put gifts or trades in your minor actions. These should go under trade actions, and doing otherwise will just confuse the GM team. =====Turnsheet Responses===== Between submitting your turnsheet and the next session, you will receive a response from the GM team on the same page you wrote your turnsheet on. This will include full writeups on what happened on your major actions, plus a summary of the results of any resource, trade and minor actions. If a resource gathering action goes particularly badly, you may get a more detailed writeup describing what happened.
